Our top priority is the health, safety and well-being of all those attending Mining Transformed. Please review the following health and safety measures prior to attending Mining Transformed to ensure that you and your fellow attendees have a safe and productive event. Government Information

Before you Travel

We are actively monitoring government and public health announcements. Below are links to review rules and regulations from the Canadian, Ontario and Sudbury governments.

Federal Travel

As of February 28, 2022, the Government of Canada has eased travel restrictions. Please visit the Government of Canada website for up-to-date information.

Provincial Travel

There are currently no restrictions on travel to Ontario from other provinces or territories. Please visit the Government of Ontario website for up-to-date information.

Provincial Guidelines

On February 14, 2022, the Ontario government announced its plan to ease public health measures. Please visit the Government of Ontario website for up-to-date information.

City of Greater Sudbury Guidelines

Ontario is gradually lifting public health measures. However, Public Health Sudbury and Districts may implement region-specific measures. Please visit Public Health Sudbury and Districts website for up-to-date information.


Event Measures

For the safety of all those attending Mining Transformed, NORCAT will implement appropriate health and safety measures as required by local, provincial and federal governments.

We ask that all attendees follow good hygiene practices, including frequent hand washing and hand sanitizing. Additionally, please self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. If symptoms develop, please do not attend Mining Transformed.

To limit the spread of COVID-19, NORCAT will implement appropriate health and safety measures, including,

  • Increase cleaning operations, particularly in common areas and with respect to surfaces (counters, high touchpoint areas such as door handles, stair railings, etc.).
  • Provide the necessary hygiene products, including hand sanitizers, wash sinks and disinfectant wipes, where possible.
  • Additional health and safety measures as required.

Do not attend Mining Transformed if you fall into any of the following categories:

  • Individuals who currently or within the past ten (10) days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough and shortness of breath among others.
  • Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.

In addition to the above, Mining Transformed will follow health rules and regulations implemented by Public Health Ontario that are in place at the time of the event for in-person gatherings. For up-to-date information, please visit the Public Health Ontario website.

NORCAT, Mining Transformed and its partners cannot guarantee that its participants or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. Therefore, while participating in Mining Transformed and associated events, participants are asked to practice appropriate measures to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19.
