LoopX is a Canadian mining technology company developing a Physical AI platform that uses cameras, LiDAR, edge computing, and AI to deliver collision avoidance, geolocation awareness, and productivity tracking—enabling safer, smarter, and autonomous-ready mining operations.
LoopX will showcase its AI-powered Collision Avoidance System (CAS) and geolocation / mapping technology (SLAM-based) designed for underground and surface mining equipment.
Collision Avoidance System (CAS)
The CAS provides real-time detection of pedestrians, vehicles, and obstacles around mobile mining equipment. It delivers progressive alerts (visual and audible) to operators and can support intervention logic to reduce collision risk. The system operates in low-light and harsh underground conditions and is designed to align with EMESRT Level 7–9 requirements.
Geolocation & Mapping (SLAM)
The SLAM technology enables vehicle-level localization and mapping without relying on GPS. By fusing LiDAR, camera, and inertial data, the system builds and updates underground maps while tracking vehicle position in real time. This supports geolocation awareness, zone-based safety logic, and productivity analysis such as route tracking and cycle visibility.
