Unlike tradeshows or exhibition halls, Mining Transformed takes place at the NORCAT Underground Centre—a fully operational, active mine built for technology development, testing, and demonstration. Meaning exhibitors don’t simply hand out flyers or stand at static displays, they’re showcasing emerging technology in the environment it’s built for.
All exhibitors are expected to have a technology demonstration to underground, on the surface, or within our facilities, giving attendees a firsthand look at how solutions perform, integrate, and deliver value in real conditions.

The NORCAT Underground Centre, located in Onaping, Ontario, is the only operating mine in the world built for testing, training, and demonstrating new mining technologies. This unique facility serves as an "active laboratory," enabling startups, small and medium enterprises, as well as international companies, to develop, test, and demonstrate emerging technologies that have the potential to revolutionize the mining industry on a global scale.
